Throughout I did not realize that I was playing another piece by the author of one of my favourite games, Dextor Dixon. In fact, I voted for the aforementioned game at the AIFA’s as having the best sex scenes.

I enjoyed this game, more so for the fact that it was almost flawlessly programmed (at least during my three play-troughs), than for the content itself. For some reason , I could not buy into the sales clerk at Victoria’s Secret wanting to screw this total stranger (perhaps it was the PC’s timid and inconsistent flirting); therefore, some of the eroticism of the situation was lost on me.

I was also disappointed after the game was over to discover that the author was indeed A. Bomire. That is to say I expected more from the author. There was nothing in the game I particularly disliked; simply put, after Candice Vanderbilt my expectations are a bit high. Perhaps if the location (lingerie store) or the female of desire (Angie) had been more unique, I would have enjoyed the game a bit more.

As it were, the sex scene was done fine. I enjoyed it. But as Simon Cowell would say, “So what?” But what does set this game above some of its peers is the advent of four different endings (there could be more). The author admits that even he doesn’t know the exact logic behind the path to all of the endings, and after seeing all four, I am not quite sure either. But they were certainly worth seeing, as they give the game the flavor it desperately needed.

Out of nine hopefuls, Last Minute Gift received a 3rd place bronze medal from me.
